Familiarizing With the Environment and New Obstacles

Good news! I was able to fix the linking problems I was having with menu items, buttons, and pages in the previous entry “Initial Difficulties“. Here is what I did:

  • Most of the problem was with the Pages tab in the dashboard and “Page Attributions”
    • There, I organized the pages by deleting the ones I used as a test, renamed them for better reference, and kept only the pages that were being used.
    • These are “Space Log – Posts Page”, “Index Page – Front Page”, and “About”.
    • Then, I just had to go back to the editor and update the menu items in the header, using the search function within the “Item Link” section.
  • In this same train of thought, the underline problem with the about page also got fixed by updating the “Item Link” section.

Now that this is out of the way, something came up along the way that deserves attention to move on.

When navigating in each post, all headers look the same, and whenever I change one, the other one changes to the same thing, in other words, it seems that they are linked together. Since this template I am using requires me to edit with an editor called “Kubio”, I am using that to make all the changes. However, whenever I try to change the header of only a specific page without altering another, I asks me to upgrade to the pro version to unlock that feature.

Possible Solution: convert the “About” page to Beaver Builder and try to edit the header from there.
